Frogging is a knitting term (as in rip it, rip it, rip it get it?) for when you have to rip a project out because of a mistake. Well, I made a huge mistake on
these socks that I started a few days ago. I was knitting merrily away on the foot of Sock One and just didn't think it looked right for some reason. My goal when knitting socks is to get both going on two sets of needles so I won't get the dreaded second sock syndrome. So I set it aside and picked up Sock Two this morning and started doing the heel and gusset (that I suck at anyway) and was knitting merrily away on this one and just didn't like how it was coming out. Then, something terrible occurred to me. So I got out Sock One and put it on stitch holders to try it on and GASP! What a numbskull I am, I totally decreased the gusset stitches in the wrong place and the damned thing is all screwed up. ARGH!!!! Well, as it turns out, I don't like the fit anyway, this yarn I'm using just doesn't have any give, hence this pair is going to the Frog Pond.
I want to knit some socks, I love making socks, I used to have quite an addiction to making them but I always made them with the two circular needle method. This is my first attempt at making them on double pointed needles. Obviously I need more practice. Crap, I had a feeling I was doing something wrong when I was working on Sock One, but I guess I chose to ignore it.
I need to compose myself before I start another pair. This time I will use a pattern, I was making these without a pattern, maybe that was my first mistake! Ha!
Maybe I should go quilt for a while, it's less frustrating.

Lol.... this is how we learn, I guess! Love the color of the yarn though.... now you just have to find the right texture and give it another go! It was good practice.
Yeah - Midwest Pride is waiting for you.
I hate when stuff like that happens! I started my husbands socks three times before I got the fit right for him. You'll work it out!
