I decided I needed a little pick me up, and I have been pondering for a while, so today since I had the day off work I decided to go look at sewing machines. I saw Bernina was running a special on their financing, no finance charge for 18 months. So I figured what the heck. I went over to the store and bought one. It was the last one they had and it was marked down $1500. I have been told I paid a good price. I cannot BELIEVE I spent that much on a sewing machine. I got the Aurora 440 Quilter's Edition. It has a little learning curve, but I'm getting the hang of it. I LOVE the buttonhole stitch on this machine. Here's a picture of Quilt Diva's feet, the stitches are so nice. Of course I always get buyer's remorse after I buy something like this, but after using it for a little while, I am not feeling it as much, I love this machine!

That's the machine I have and you definitely got a good deal! You are going to love it and wish you had gotten it earlier! Have fun sewing with it. Congrats.
I have had mine about a year and a half and I love it. If you can take the machine mastery classes that come with it, I would. I learned lots even though I have sewn forever. Enjoy!

I've got this machine too. Have you tried the double blanket stitch a la Ricki Tims? Invest in the open toed applique foot too if you like blanket stitch.

You really did deserve it! You are going to love the machine. I also think if you can take the classes you should. I wish I could re-take them with you because I forgot most of it. LOL!

Have the same machine myself and LOVE it. A 50th birthday gift several years ago. We have to treat ourselves once in a while!!
